Detailed Product Information

EZpour is easy to install and fits most models of plastic gas cans sold in Canada (Wedco, Scepter, and Anchor Plastics) when used with a Wedco gas cap (included). It comes with a 48 inch dispensing hose, a 15 inch siphon pipe and a plastic valve (US Patent 6,766,838, Canadian patent pending). The plastic valve has 3 positions; Siphon, marked with ' I '; Pour, marked with ' II '; and Off, marked with ' O '.

The siphon pipe comes pre-cut to fit a Wedco 25 litre gas can. To adjust the length for other models of gas can, either refer to the table on the instruction card supplied with the purchased EZpour, or simply cut the siphon pipe so that it just clears the bottom of the portable can when the EZpour is installed. It is recommended that the bottom of the siphon pipe be cut at a 45o angle.

To assemble the EZpour attach the siphon pipe to the Siphon Port and attach the dispensing hose to the Output Port.

For operation in the Siphon mode, the portable gas can must be higher than the tank to be filled (20" / 50 cm is good).

EZpour will not work on portable gas cans which do not have a vent cap. For other gas cans,  the vent cap must be open.

In the Siphon (I) position gasoline is drawn through the siphon port, allowing gasoline to be quickly transferred to a boat or other gasoline tank without the need to hold up a heavy portable gas can. To start the siphoning process, simply tip the portable gas can for a few seconds until the gasoline is flowing out of the dispensing hose, then return the portable gas can to the level position. When the portable gas can is 24 inches higher than the receiving gas tank, EZpour can transfer 15 litres of gas in less than 2 minutes.

In the Pour (II) position EZpour utilizes a second intake port, the Pouring port, and operates like a standard spout, except that with the dispensing hose inserted into the receiving gas tank, EZpour allows you pour out every last drop of gasoline without the spilling and splashing of a funnel.

The Off (O) position allows you to quickly and safely stop the flow of gasoline. In addition, the EZpour has a unique air passage which prevents air-locks in the siphon pipe, meaning that unlike other siphoning devices you won't have those nasty spills when you remove the EZpour from the gas can.

The clip on the top of the plastic valve serves two handy purposes. First, when the EZpour is left on the gas can, the end of the dispensing hose can be kept clean by inserting it through the clip. Second, when the EZpour is taken off the gas can, the clip can be used to hang the EZpour on a nail or hook. To keep the dispensing hose and siphon pipe clean, insert the end of the dispensing hose into the open end of the siphon pipe.
