Below is extra info supplied by teams on some of the nominees for the league awards:

Tier 4 Best Pitcher: Mike Bayley - Rockets

Calm, cool and collected, this Tier 4 legend continued his dominance of Tier 4 hitters with his control and pinpoint accuracy leading his team in all pitching categories ... for, like, the 18th straight season. Or something like that...

52.33 IP, 6-3 record, 4.82 ERA, 1.66 BB+H/IP, 23 K, 13BB

Tier 4 Best Batter: Jon Brisson - Rockets

Jonny continued to terrify opposing Tier 4 pitchers, smashing the ball all over the field! He led the Rockets offensively and was # 1 in most offensive categories including batting average, slugging %, RBIs and HRs --crushing 5 jacks out of the park, a couple of which still haven't landed...

18/44, .409 BA, .795 SLG, .481 ONB %, 18 RS, 2 D, 5 HR, 21 RBI, 7 BB, 8 SB

Tier 2 Best Batter – Spencer Buwalda - Gryphons

As feared as any cleanup hitter in the Tier, Spencer hit .446, with a .513 OBP and .677 SLUG, with a team-leading 29 hits, 3 home runs (all in regulation parks)  and 25 RBI, while striking out only three times.  Spencer was a truly consistent force in the Gryphons lineup.

Tier 2 MVP - Mark Dorrington –Sweat Sox
    * 6-0 with 6 complete games. He struck out 65 in 38 innings, had a 0.74 ERA and a 0.87 WHIP.
    * Led the team in homeruns, batting average (.415), on base (.571), slugging (.659).
    * Great defence at short and on the mound.
    * The Sweat Sox may have been in danger of missing the playoffs without him. The 14-10 (.583) team had a .923 winning percentage with Dorrington in the lineup.

Tier 2 Top Pitcher - Mark Dorrington – Sweat Sox
    * 6-0 with 6 complete games. He struck out 65 in 38 innings, had a 0.74 ERA and a 0.87 WHIP.

Tier 2 Top Batter - Mark Dorrington – Sweat Sox
    * Led the team in homeruns, batting average (.415), on base (.571), slugging (.659).

Tier 2 Best Pitcher – Peter Gauthier - Gryphons

At the time of this writing, on the eve of Game 3 of the finals, Peter was the premier pitcher in the Tier II playoffs, with three complete game wins with a  2.00 ERA and 32 Ks.  Peter was a true gamer in the regular season, overcoming arm woes and other various injuries to log 32 innings this year, with a 3.25 ERA, 1.67 WHIP and 32 strikeouts.
*** Editors note : Peter pitched the Gryphons to the Tier 2 championship with a 4-0 victory in Winchester***

Tier 2 MVP:Marc Hughes - Tribu

Marc led the team in run scored, RBI's, Home runs, WKS, batting avg. slugging % and on base %
Marc was our most dangerous hitter with runners in scoring position and one of our key players that helped us finish 1st overall. He also
played at 5 different defensive positions during the season.

Tier 4 - MVP: Danny Lizotte - Rockets

A slick fielding first baseman, Danny carried his team offensively and played rock solid defensively all year long. He was a spark plug high up in the line-up -- his team leading .549 ONB % can attest to that. He simply did it all with stick. He was top 5 on the team in ONB %, batting average, slugging %, hits, runs, RBIs, doubles, HRs, walks, SBs and plate appearances. He can also pick a ball out the dirt with ease. Is there anything this guy can't do? When you think Tier 4 MVP, you gotta think Danny Lizotte!
15/38, .395 BA, .526 SLG, .549 ONB %, 18 RS, 2 D, 1 HR, 13 RBI, 13 BB, 11 SB

Tier 2 - Best Batter:   Kevin Miller - Winchester:

Reason:   Avg  .639,  RBI 46 (22% of our total runs scored) HR  9  (3 away and 6 in Winchester -- which should equate to 5 to 6 realistically but add the difference to doubles).   11 doubles in 23 games played.     Our 4 hitter hitting behind Miller hit .418 and had 17 RBI as there was no one left on bases when Miller was done.

Tier  4 MVP:  Brody Mitchell - Coyotes

Brody could only make it to 10 games but he was there for almost all of our wins. Lead by the +.600 hitting 3 Hrs(including a grand slam to start a win against the Knights) and 25 rbi (2 shy of team record).  His defense at third took kept some runners off the bases as well.

Tier 2 - Best Pitcher:   Justin Morozuk - Winchester

8 wins 1 lose 2 saves.   That gives him a direct impact in 10 of our 17 wins.   ERA was 4.68 with all but two starts in Winchester (a band box of a park).   There seeemed like he gave up two lazy fly ball easy out homeruns a game at home and still managed a 4.68 era.   Pitched 64 innings which is over 42% of all innings pitched by team.    Opening week was a great example of his heart pitching 6.3 innings in a no decision and then pitching 2 innings for the save two days later.

Tier 4 - Best hitter: Neal Phadnis - Coyotes

Despite Brody's numbers.  I am nominating Neal for his .600+ avg, 20/20 run/rbi and 9 multihit games and a 5 hit game.  He also had a hit in every game but his last one.

Tier 4 MVP: Brad Richardson - Hurricanes

Brad dominated again for us this year.  When Brad wasn't pitching he was playing CF for us throwing out a number of runners from CF.  He was dominate at the plate putting up some impressive numbers (see below).  He was our top pitcher both in a starting role and coming in to close games out (see pitching stats above).

Tier 2 - Best Batter - Jean-Sebastien Roy - Diamondbacks
Batted lead off, lead the team in most categories.  .659 avg, .902 slg, .763 obp.  JS had just 2 strikeouts all season to go with 18
walks.  tied for the team lead with 19 RBI, led the team with 27 hits in just 18 games.

Tier 2 - Best Pitcher - Dave Steffler - Diamondbacks
On a balanced pitching staff, Dave went 5 - 0 with 48 K's in 31 IP.
Dave gave up only 8 free passes while posting a meager 1.35 ERA and 0.97 WHIP.

Tier 2 - MVP - Dave Steffler - Diamondbacks
In addition to his pitching dominance, Dave hit .429, .619 slg and .466 obp.  He led the team in RBI with 19 and knocked two dingers.

Tier 2 - MVP – Jeff Still - Gryphons

A landslide vote for MVP from his teammates, Jeff achieved personal bests this year in all hitting categories, with a .424 AVG, .480 OBP and .606 SLUG, along with 28 hits, 3 home runs  (all in regulation parks)  and 17 RBI, striking out only three times in the regular season.  Jeff also remained the premiere defensive catcher in Tier II, effectively shutting down the opposition’s running game all year long while being a veritable wall for wild pitches.  We believe Jeff’s offensive surge and defensive prowess make him the best catcher in Tier II and a worthy candidate for Tier MVP.

Tier 4 - Best Pitcher:  Jonny Trafford - Coyotes

Jonny joined the team this year and anchored our pitching with someone almost always gave us a chance to win, which we were missing since we had a healthy Stuart Hayes.  His overall numbers might not look as strong as others but they are skewed by his first outing and a couple games when he was hurt but still pitched.
